Creative Studio Workshop
Get creative and craft with your community in the Creative Studio Workshop series!
The Creative Studio Workshop is a self-guided project learning experience, where you can work at your own pace to learn something new. We'll provide the supplies and the instructions, and every Thursday we'll have staff on hand to give you guided assistance. From sewing to 3D design, and from programming to painting, we'll have a project for everyone!
Each project runs from 4 to 7 weeks. Storage space will be provided by the library where necessary.
Event Details
Learn to make a song at the Joan Klein Creative Studio! Whether you have musical experience or not, we'll guide you through the process of writing your own song with Ableton Live! We'll have a template set up where you can mix and match sounds, rhythms, and chords to build the framework of your song; you're also more than welcome to pick an empty template and build your song entirely from scratch. If you play an instrument, we've also got you covered: we'll be able to record your performance as part of your song!
