Program Description

Event Details

This week in Exploration Station, we will be using engineering to explore the different methods of problem-solving associated with structural soundness.

Kids will work with limited materials (straws, tape, rubber bands, sponges, etc.) to create a protective structure around an egg. We will then test the structural soundness of their builds by dropping them from a high height. If the egg doesn't break, success! If it does, it's time to try again!

All materials will be provided and all are welcome to attend. If you are planning on bringing a large group (10+ people) please contact the Youth Librarian team for accommodations. This session may get messy so be sure to wear appropriate clothes!
