Baby and Toddler Time
Join us for fun literacy-based group activities for the very young! Babies and toddlers and the adults who love them will make new friends as they play and learn. We play with a parachute, sing songs, learn finger plays, play games, dance, make music and share picture books. After our informal circle time we get out the toys and play together. For ages 0 -2 ½ years.
This is a program for babies, toddlers, and the people who love them. We read very short stories, play lap games, do finger plays, sing songs and have play time.
Come and learn how to use the maker's spaces' serger, and sewing machine.
MCPL Outreach is proud to partner with Central Kentucky Blood Center and Union Church to bring the bi-monthly blood drive to Berea. 2020 Dates: January 21st, March 17th, May 19th, July 21st, September 15th, November 17th.
LEGO Club
LEGO Club is a program for kids of all ages. We supply the LEGOs, you bring the creativity. Kids may make whatever time and imagination allows. Each week we display the LEGO creations inside one of our display cases.
Join us in the Children's Area for some activities themed around Dr. Seuss's books. NOVA students from EKU will read a Dr. Seuss book and have a simple craft. Each week there will be a different book.
Are you a fan of Japanese animation and manga? Join our new monthly anime club, where we'll be celebrating all things Japan! Try some fun crafts, enjoy some Japanese snacks, and watch a few episodes of anime with us each month.
3D Toy Makers
We will be learning the basics of 3d model design and 3d printing. Using Microsoft's 3D Builder, we will learn to navigate the 3d build area and how to assemble objects from basic shapes. We will also learn what is required of a 3d model to make it 3d printer friendly.
This class is a requirement for usage of the 3D printers. During this class we will cover the safety protocols as well as basic use of our 3D printers.
