Program Description

Event Details

The Madison County Public Library and Berea College Forestry Outreach Center would like to cordially invite your family and favorite stuffed animal to our teddy bear picnic.

Kick off summer reading with outreach librarians Brandon and Ashley at the Forestry Outreach center. We will have finger foods, juice boxes, and items to have a pretend tea party with your favorite stuffed animal. We will have a pop-up library and would like to encourage all to check out a book.

We will have craft activities to make a tea time hat or bow tie.

The Forestry Outreach Center will have materials for kids to make a teddy bear puppet with a paper bag. They will also have a big picnic blanket and other blankets available for you to sit an enjoy a picnic.

If there is inclement weather, this event will be moved inside the Forestry Outreach building. Feel free to pack your own food, and we encourage you to bring a blanket to sit on.

Bring your favorite stuffed animals and wear your comfiest 'fancy' tea outfit, we are having a teddy picnic!

If you have food allergies, please contact Ashley no later than Thursday May 30, 2024.
