The Boonesborough Chapter NSDAR and the Madison County Public Library invite you to join us to celebrate the release of Ed Ford's new novel, The Incident at Otter Creek.

Following the discovery of two graves dating back to the 1700s, Dr. Wyatt Henderson is transported back through time to historic Boonesborough, Kentucky, where he meets Daniel Boone, Simon Kenton, and other historic pioneer figures as they live off the land, survive conflicts with local Indians, and fight for survival on a daily basis. The Incident at Otter Creek, a work of historical fiction, is a realistic portrayal of life for the early pioneers who traveled along the Boone Trace and settled Fort Boonesborough, and the story of one 21st century man who learns to live, and love, in an 18th century world.

Ed Ford is an author of historical fiction and has written six books, two plays, and a number of articles about the US Civil War and other historical activities in his home state of Kentucky. The Incident at Otter Creek, although historical fiction, is based on and contains the accurate factual information.

Prior to his career as a novelist, Ford was an award-winning corporate editor and public relations specialist with Ford Motor and The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Companies and was a newspaper and magazine reporter.

The University of Kentucky Journalism graduate operates his own public relations firm in Richmond, KY, has served as Public Relations Director for Berea College.

Ed will read passages of the book and have hardcover copies available for purchase ($24.95 plus tax, credit cards and cash accepted).
